This is a tree with a drooping slide shape on top. What causes the top of plants to sag? The grains. Imagine seeing how the heads of wheat or rice droop when they're ready for harvest. It will look like this radical. Look at all that ripe grain!
This might remind you of 米, which has three stalks sprouting upward. You can tell the difference because the top of this one is slanted from the weight of the ripe grain.
