You examine then search. These are the steps you take in order to perform a lookup of some kind (or, as the case may be in modern times, do an internet search).
This is a jukugo word, which usually means on'yomi readings from the kanji. If you know the readings of your kanji you'll know how to read this as well.
後でネットで検索してみるよ。
