Way Of Seeing
Point Of View, Perspective, Way Of Looking At
noun
Your seeing way is your way of seeing something. This is like when someone has a dumb opinion and you're like, "Oh, okay, so that's one way of seeing it...”
Note that while 見方 often refers to someone's point of view or perspective, it can also be used to simply talk about the way of looking at something — a chart or a map, for example.
The reading for this vocab is all kun'yomi. You learned 見's kun'yomi reading when you learned the kanji, but since the 方 reading wasn't the main one you learned, here's a mnemonic to help it stick:
You've been told your way of seeing things is a little narrow, so in order to gain a broader perspective, you decide to catapult (かた) yourself into the air. That'll certainly give you a new and interesting point of view.
