Seedbed
Nursery Bed
noun
A bed just for seedlings is called a seedbed. It's where all the little seedlings grow before they're sold or replanted outside.
This word uses the kun'yomi readings of both its kanji. For 苗, that's the reading you learned with the vocab word. For 床, you've learned two kun'yomi readings, but here you're going to use the one you learned in 寝床: とこ (rendaku'd to どこ). Here's a mnemonic in case you need help:
Imagine you're looking for the seedbed where you planted your seedlings, but you just can't find it. "Where (どこ) is it?" you keep asking, exasperatedly. "Seriously, どこ???"
