An aromatic fragrance is usually a fragrance with a sweet smell.
芳香 is a formal word for a pleasant, natural fragrance, like the scent of roses. You'll most likely see this in the word 芳香剤 (air fresheners), but it's also used in literature for pleasant aromas.
