Tug Of War
noun
The rope pull. Both sides are pulling on the rope. That is a tug of war.
綱引き literally means "rope-pulling," but it refers to tug of war — the game where two teams pull on opposite ends of a rope and try to drag each other across a line. You'll often see this activity in the 運動会 (sports day) event in Japanese schools.
The readings are from 綱 and 引く, so if you know those you should be fine here.
