Wisdom
Intelligence, Understanding
noun
The kanji and the word are exactly the same. That means they share meanings as well.
智 means wisdom or intelligence, especially the kind that comes from good judgment and clear thinking. Rather than mere knowledge, it refers to a deeper understanding of what you know and how to apply it. On its own, it has a somewhat classical or literary feel, so you'll mostly encounter it in more formal or traditional writing.
