If you draw an image, you end up with a drawing (or a painting).
描画 is a relatively formal word that refers to the process of creating pictures (rather than the pictures themselves). This includes not only painting or drawing but also digitally creating images on a computer screen.
This is a jukugo word that uses the on'yomi readings of the kanji. You should be able to read this on your own.
