The instruction business is when you give a lesson or class to someone.
This is a jukugo word, which usually means on'yomi readings from the kanji. If you know the readings of your kanji you'll know how to read this as well.

Today, I had my first class in Japanese.

That teacher always taught the class while wearing a white mask.
