Woman
Lady
noun
Lady person is another way of saying woman — but kind of politely, you know? A way that's befitting of a lady.
婦人 is a polite but slightly old-fashioned word for an adult woman. You'll still often see it in formal category names, like 婦人服 (women's clothing) or 婦人科 (gynecology).
This is a jukugo word, which usually means on'yomi readings from the kanji. If you know the readings of your kanji you'll know how to read this as well.
