Line up everything in a row. When you do that, everything will be side by side.
並列 is a relatively formal word for things being arranged side by side in alignment. You'll most commonly see it used in a technical sense, like with parallel circuits in electronic stuff. But it's also used to describe the orderly side-by-side arrangements of other things, such as vehicles parked next to each other in a row or soldiers standing in ranks.
This is a jukugo word, which usually means on'yomi readings from the kanji. If you know the readings of your kanji you'll know how to read this as well.
