If dirt and more dirt is all you see as you go from place to place, you must be roaming the streets of a city. Cities are notoriously dirty places, so watch your step when you head out into the streets.

As you roam the streets, brushing the dirt off yourself, a guy (がい) bumps into you: "Hey guy, watch where you're going!" As he says this he bumps into another guy. "Whoa there, guy — you think you own these streets or somethin'?" "As a matter of fact, my guy, I run these streets, so you'd better check yourself."
